Making Piano Playing Accessible, Enjoyable, and Rewarding for Adult Learners
Learning piano as an adult should be a fulfilling journey, not a stressful chore. Many adult learners feel held back by rigid traditional methods, tedious drills, or complex sheet music. My goal is to change that.
Through clear, step-by-step guidance, I help adults quickly master note reading, understand practical chord patterns, and play recognizable music with expression and confidence. Whether you are starting from complete scratch or returning to the keys after years away, my teaching approach is designed to fit your busy life and help you make steady, enjoyable progress.

Piano Solo: Fantasia Espanola
Fantasia Espanola is a winner composition inspired by the 2014 MTAC Recital Theme of Spanish music. Adjudicators gave this composition excellent comments. This piece uses polyrhythm, changes of time signature and tempo, changes of keys, and colorful chords. The piece opens with a fanfare gesture. The imitation of Spanish chord progression and guitar idioms evoke imagination of Spanish singing--dancing styles. The four parts show contrasts in keys, rhythms, harmonies, textures and emotions. The rubato and sudden shifts to remote key areas suggest fantasia improvisational manner. A short coda accelerates, ending the piece in a festive rapture.
